About the Compassion Studies Initiative
The Compassion Studies Initiative at Arihanta Institute (CSI@AI) brings together leading
scholars, educators, and thought leaders from Jain Studies and related fields to explore how we
can all live more compassionate lives. In a world that often feels divided and uncertain, CSI@AI
focuses on fostering human-to-human compassion-in-action as a powerful response to our most
pressing challenges.
At the heart of CSI@AI is a commitment to answering vital questions: How can we lead more compassionate lives in today's complex world? How can we inspire others to embrace compassion? And how can we weave compassion into our daily actions to better serve those who are suffering while still taking care of ourselves with self-compassion? How can humanity benefit from our compassionate acts? Participants in CSI@AI collaborate to explore these questions through meaningful dialogue, reflection, and action.
This initiative takes an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on insights from both spiritual and secular traditions. It highlights the work of scholars, educators, and practitioners who are dedicated to putting compassion into practice, whether through their research, teaching, or community engagement. The Compassion Studies Initiative at Arihanta Institute invites you to join a community of like-minded individuals seeking to make a real difference—one compassionate act at a time
